The Chautauqua County Land Bank Corporation (CCLBC) works collaboratively with many partners, including the NYS Attorney General’s office, the Chautauqua County Legislature, local governments, community development organizations, housing agencies, banks, real estate companies, and neighborhood groups. Together, we have defined our vision and work to identify priorities and strategies for meeting our common goals in the battle against blight.
These abandoned, foreclosed and vacant properties are categorized as type A, B or C based on their condition and potential marketability. Type A & B properties enter into our Sales 4 Rehab program to be renovated and occupied or re-sold. Type C properties are destined for our Demolition program. In order to maintain financial sustainability, the Chautauqua County Land Bank acquires a mix of dilapidated to fairly nice properties, such that the sales from Type A & B properties will fund operations and the cost of demolition of the Type C properties.
