Fredonia (Before) - This property was an eyesore in a beautiful neighborhood. It had an appraised value of $17,000, and was surrounded by homes that averaged over $100,000.
Fredonia (After) - The Land Bank acquired it at tax foreclosure from the county, and negotiated with a local developer to restore and resell the home to a new community member.
Dunkirk (Before) - Another eyesore in an otherwise attractive neighborhood, neighbors were vocal about their concern over the state of disrepair and its impact on their property values. The appraised value was $16,000 at the time of acquisition.
Dunkirk (After) - The Land Bank acquired parcel from the county at tax foreclosure and negotiated a sale to a developer who renovated and re-sold it to a young professional who had moved to the city.
Jamestown (Before) - This home was slowly deteriorating after being abandoned and foreclosed. It required too much work to make it marketable in its neighborhood, and was appraised at $25,000.
Jamestown (After *In Progress*) - The Land Bank worked with a partner agency who rehabbed the house and sold it below cost/market value to income qualified, first time home owners.
